Description
A tall, narrow vertical form fills the center of the composition, built from stacked black bands separated by pale gaps, tapering to points at both top and bottom; a small solid black oval floats just below it. The palette is limited to black and dark brown-black against an unbleached, mottled cream paper ground. The image is abstract with no figures, landscape, or setting, giving an austere, segmented, insect- or pod-like impression.
