Monologue 3

*Monologue 3* (2020) is a brightly colored etching and aquatint by Hyejeong Kwon depicting stylized big cats — spotted leopard-like animals rendered in black outline with white, blue, and black patterned coats — set among a dense arrangement of palm-like trees and foliage in magenta, green, and black. Two large cats occupy the upper portion of the composition in tumbling, overlapping poses against a magenta background, while a smaller cat curls in the lower right corner near a black tufted palm trunk.
