Space Boy

*Space Boy* (2021) by Jennifer Mack-Watkins depicts a child in a grey astronaut suit with red crisscrossing straps, standing on a cratered brown lunar surface. Behind the figure, a large yellow circle forms a halo-like disc against a dark navy sky scattered with white stars, crossed by two curving gold-brown arcs; a coral-pink band lines the horizon. The child's face is rendered in dark shadow within the helmet, and the print's flat, bold color planes contrast with fine cross-hatched linework on the suit; the work is a color lithograph produced in collaboration with Jungle Press Editions.
