Flowing, a 39 × 47 cm etching from 2025, was selected for the 68th CWAJ Print Show in Tokyo, placing the work within the principal juried channel for contemporary Japanese intaglio in the mid-2020s. The title points toward a subject organized around continuous linear movement — likely water, fabric, atmospheric current, or an abstracted natural process — rendered through the additive line vocabulary characteristic of etching rather than the broad tonal washes of aquatint or mezzotint. In intaglio of this scale, sustained directional hatching and bitten line of varying depth typically carry the rhythmic structure, with plate tone and selective wiping modulating the fields between the drawn passages.
