Encounter

Two pale, angular birds meet beak to beak at the center of the composition, their wings and bodies rendered as faceted white and grey planes against a densely dappled field of small brushstrokes in blue, gold, green, and copper tones. The mottled texture covers the entire ground, brightening to yellow-green around the birds and darkening to deeper blue and bronze toward the corners, framed by a teal-green border with a beaded gold-and-black inner edge.
