A black-and-white woodblock print centered on the U.S. Capitol dome, rendered with dense, jagged carved linework and roiling cloud-like patterns filling the sky above it. Below the dome, the scene dissolves into chaotic crowd activity with cannon-like bursts of smoke, scattered figures, and flag-bearers, while the foreground is dominated by several figures draped in or carrying American flags, their faces obscured by helmets or masks. The composition is entirely in stark black ink on white paper, with the density of mark-making increasing toward the bottom of the sheet; the print is signed and dated in the lower right, consistent with William Evertson's 2021 woodblock "Capitol Offense 1814/2021."
