Tricks I

Alexia Vogel's *Tricks I* (2022, oil on cotton) is an abstract composition of curved, diagonal bands in deep plum, sage green, and pale mauve that sweep across the canvas with softly blurred, feathered edges. The bands radiate in a loose fan-like arc from the lower left corner, giving the vertical canvas a sense of rotating movement. The work is shown mounted on a plain white wall, with the raw edges of the canvas visible along its sides.
