Annonciation

Annonciation (2022) by Chihiro Taki depicts a kneeling wolf-headed figure in a pale robe facing a young girl seated in a red-upholstered wooden chair, a small book or paper in her lap, one black bird perched on her chair arm and another on her head. Between them sits a potted white lily on a round green cushion; a flock of small birds and butterflies fills a gilded gold background, with a birdcage holding a bird hanging at upper right and a raven-black bird beside it.
