Convergence 2

Against a solid black ground, one large white oval with a softly frayed edge sits at center-right, flanked by two smaller white squares—one upper left, one lower left—each with similarly irregular, feathered borders. The oval's surface is worked with dense clusters of dark, mottled ink blots and fine linear strokes concentrated in its upper-middle area, thinning into scattered speckles and faint scratches toward the lower portion, while the two squares carry smaller, similarly dappled ink markings. *Convergence 2*, an ink-on-paper work by Cyoko Tamai, 2015.
