Description

An abstract composition built from clusters of oval and petal-like forms in dark green, mustard yellow, and red, overlaid with dense tangles of scratchy black linework and scattered ink spatters on a cream ground. The loose, layered shapes suggest floral clusters without depicting a recognizable flower, running vertically down the sheet in irregular groupings from top to bottom. Eiichi Shibuya, "Flower A," color etching, 1970.
