Water Bird - 水鳥

Water Bird — Mizutori — depicted in its natural aquatic setting, the bird associated with the surface of water, the shoreline, or the open water. Water birds occupied a distinct category in the Japanese kachō-ga tradition, their relationship to the reflective surface of water creating compositional opportunities unavailable with land or arboreal birds.
