The Chushingura Drama Parodied by Famous Beauties: A Set of Twelve Prints (Komei bijin mitate Chushingura, junimai tsuzuki), dated 1789 and held in the Art Institute of Chicago, is a complete twelve-act mitate set in which Kitagawa Utamaro replaces the warrior cast of the celebrated kabuki and bunraku drama with the women of contemporary Edo.
