Frames #3

Frames #3, a 2019 silkscreen by Masahiro Masuda, depicts an ornate carved picture frame in tarnished gold and grey-brown tones, its surface decorated with scrolling foliate and shell-like relief patterns. Nested inside the outer frame are several smaller printed frame profiles in silver-grey and gold, receding toward a pale, near-blank ivory-white center. The composition is symmetrical and frontal against a plain white background, with no figures present.
