Deluvium

A dense black-and-white triptych composition packed with hundreds of small figures, animals, and creatures rendered in fine linework across a swirling, wave-like landscape. At left, two reclining human figures float or lie in water in the foreground; the crowded central and right sections show masses of people, birds, skulls, tangled foliage, and a coiling serpent-like form emerging from turbulent, cloud-like waves, with a title cartouche reading "Deluvium" near the lower right. This is a lithograph triptych by Miho Morinoue, 2018.
