Description

A second composition in Oda's Breath series — the invisible life-force made visible through her characteristic formal language of sinuous figures and expansive color fields. Breath in Buddhist practice is not simply physiological but is the vehicle of presence and the medium of meditation: the breath that connects the practitioner to the body, to the present moment, and to the larger patterns of energy that sustain life. Oda's Breath compositions give visual form to this invisible but fundamental process, the printed surface capturing what cannot itself be seen or touched. The Artist's Proof designation indicates a copy made alongside the main edition for the artist's records.
