Description
Two women in a garden gather azalea blossoms: one stands in a purple floral kimono with an orange underlayer, looking down at a woven basket of pink flowers; the other kneels beside her in a tan kimono with a blue floral obi, reaching toward pink azalea sprays on the ground. Behind them a bamboo fence, a gnarled tree, and a distant hazy shoreline appear against a pale yellow-gold sky. A title cartouche and the artist's seal appear in the upper right and lower left. Ogata Gekko, "Azalea — つつじ," woodblock print.
