Description
A barefoot samurai strides across snow-dusted ground beneath a pale moon and two flying birds, his sandals dangling from a cord over his shoulder as he clutches a wrapped sword bundle to his chest. He wears a brown patterned kimono over a green under-robe with a light floral motif, rendered in muted grays, browns, and greens against a soft gray sky; a low wooden fence and dim buildings appear behind him. Woodblock print, "Yokogawa Kanbei Munetoshi," by Ogata Gekko, 1902.
