An abstract composition dominated by a dark brown ground, over which thin curving lines in pale yellow trace loose, open shapes across the canvas. Patches of teal-blue and a few small strokes of red and rust are scattered among darker charcoal-black forms, with no recognizable figures or setting. The surface shows visible canvas weave and loose, gestural brushwork; signed "Waichi Tsutaka" with the date in the lower right. Oil on canvas, 1957.
