Māter

Two small dark photographs are each set within a deep, wide wood frame, hung side by side against a plain white wall. In the left panel, a barely visible dim, warm-toned image suggests a curled or crouching figure emerging from near-black shadow; in the right panel, a pale, luminous vertical form—resembling falling or streaming water—stands out against the dark ground. Both C-prints are small relative to their oversized wood frames, giving the diptych a dim, quiet, low-contrast mood.
