Māter

Two small dark photographs are mounted at the center of large, deep wood-grained frames, hung side by side against a plain white wall. The left image shows a dim, shadowed close-up of curved flesh tones suggesting a body in low light; the right shows dark rock or terrain with a pale, frothing stream of water cutting through it. Both prints are recessed within the same oversized reddish-brown wooden panels, giving the diptych a uniform, minimalist presentation.
