Shi

Monochromatic pink print rotated to a diamond orientation, dominated by two stylized shishi (lion-dog) heads with bulging eyes, bared fangs, and swirling curled manes rendered in bold black outline against a wavy striped background. Large ruffled peony blossoms with white-highlighted petals fill the upper portion, while a diamond-lattice pattern fills the lower corner. "Shi," a 2016 work by Yuki Ideguchi, uses a dense, decorative all-over composition with no negative space, in pink, black, and white with small gold accent marks.
