Description
This second work carrying the title Morning Moon N — 浅月 is a companion to its immediate predecessor, likely differing in color register, embossing depth, or compositional balance while sharing the same central subject: the 浅月, the pale moon of early morning. Serial duplication of titles within Amano Kunihiro's practice reflects a printmaker's approach to variation — two pulls from related but distinct blocks, or the same composition reinterpreted through a different color key. The subdued luminosity implied by 浅 (shallow, faint) suits Amano's restrained palette, in which near-whites and cool grays carry primary visual weight. His merger of geometric and natural form is characteristic: the lunar disk may appear within or adjacent to an abstracted architectural or textile-derived motif.
