Key value factors: For living or recently deceased artists, limited edition size and gallery representation drive value. Signed and numbered prints from smaller editions are most desirable.
Touches W15-M.C.C., a 1989 color woodblock, represents the fifteenth W-series entry and one of the most advanced iterations in this branch of the Touches project. The M.C.C. suffix indicates a distinct set of material conditions from the M.A.K. and C.V.B. variants produced in the same period. Yoshida was creating multiple Touches variants per year during this concentrated phase, each print a slight permutation of shared techniques. The W15 number suggests she was working through the possibilities rapidly, the system generating new combinations faster than any single print could be fully studied on its own.
