Description
The second iteration of Sora's 'Children's Mind' series likely introduces a revised palette or altered arrangement of forms relative to the first edition. Sora's practice of working through a theme across multiple numbered prints reflects a methodical approach to abstraction, treating each variant as a discrete experiment rather than a reproduction. The mokuhanga process lends itself to such serial exploration: individual key blocks and color blocks can be inked differently or combined in new sequences to produce compositions that share a formal language while diverging in mood and visual weight. On [washi](/glossary/washi), the printed ink retains a characteristic softness distinct from Western intaglio or relief prints. The play of warm and cool tones, or dense and open areas, gives this iteration its own internal logic within the broader series.
