Butterfly Dance - Winter

A dense swarm of butterflies and moths clusters into a rounded, mound-like mass at the center of the composition, wings overlapping in white, pale yellow, grey, and blue-black patterns, with a few stray specimens scattered along the lower corners. The background is a soft gradient from pale lavender-grey at top to teal-blue at the bottom, giving the impression of open sky over water or ground. *Butterfly Dance – Winter*, a 1985 zinc plate and woodblock print by Chizuko Yoshida, is signed and titled in pencil beneath the image along with a Japanese title and "A.P." notation.
