Description
An abstract composition built from horizontal bands and irregular, torn-edged shapes in red, black, deep maroon, tan, and metallic copper/gold, set against a black surround on cream paper. Jagged, cloud- or continent-like forms in cream and gold overlay the horizontal red and black bars, creating a layered, fragmented effect with no discernible figures or setting. Signed in pencil "Daryl Howard '01" with edition number 31/95 and a red artist's seal, lower right; woodblock print, 2001.
