Description
A single foxglove stem rises from lower left, its bell-shaped flowers and veined, textured leaves rendered in dark plum, olive, and black with fine linear detailing. The background is built from abstract collaged elements — washes of yellow and pale lavender, faint vertical striping, a scatter of coral-orange oval shapes in the upper right, and a loose white cloud-like form behind the flower spike. This lithograph with collage by Elspeth Lamb (date unknown) juxtaposes the botanically detailed plant against a flat, patterned, high-color backdrop.
