Description
Tall, fragmented vertical panels rendered in fine parallel-line hatching fill the composition edge to edge, their alternating diagonal and vertical striations suggesting stacked, angular building façades without any single readable structure. The palette is restricted to indigo-blue, slate gray, black, and cream/ochre tones, broken by two small accents: a red circular mark near the bottom center and a black upward-pointing arrow shape at upper right. No figures appear; the print is signed and numbered in pencil below the image. Fumio Kitaoka, "Abstract cityscape," 1955, woodblock print, ink and color on paper.
