Ormugai

Two nautilus shells rendered in white, rust-orange, and pale blue against a solid black ground, their curved forms overlapping diagonally across the composition. Thin dark line work traces the shells' chambered spirals and mottled banding, with a small cluster of blue-gray shading marking each shell's opening. *Ormugai*, a woodblock print by Fumio Kitaoka (date unknown), isolates the two shells with no other setting or figures present.
