It continues the "My Space and My Dimension" series begun the previous year, extending the investigation of personal spatial perception through geometric abstraction. The one-year gap between this and No. 419 encompasses roughly forty-six new works in the numbered sequence, indicating the pace at which Funasaka was generating compositions during this fertile period. The combination of woodblock and screenprint techniques gives the surface a layered quality, with the handmade warmth of the woodblock underpainting visible through or alongside the crisper screenprinted overlays.
