$200–$1,500. Common subjects: $200–$500. Key value factors: Takahashi's prints are modestly priced. Well-preserved examples with strong design are most valued.
A woodblock print titled "Mitoku I," edition four of fifteen, likely referencing Mitokusan Sanbutsu-ji, the remote mountain temple in Tottori Prefecture famous for its gravity-defying hall built into a cliff face. Takahashi Hiromitsu captures the sacred and vertiginous quality of this site, one of Japan's most remarkable architectural achievements. The small edition size of fifteen impressions indicates a work of particular care and limited availability. The Roman numeral "I" suggests this may be the first in a series exploring different views or aspects of the Mitoku temple complex.
