An untitled woodblock print from Hodo's output — the twenty-fourth in this sequence of unidentified works from his body of shin-hanga prints. His bijin-ga and kachō-ga subjects shared an attentiveness to atmosphere, season, and the quiet beauty of traditional subjects that gave his work its characteristic decorative coherence, whether the subject was a woman by the garden engawa or a bird among autumn chrysanthemums.
