Description
Katsuyama Cabbage Field, a 2020 woodblock print by Jane Fulton Suri, divides the composition into two horizontal bands: a pale, misty blue-grey conical mountain rising against a soft blue sky in the upper half, and a dense field of rounded cabbages in mottled green tones filling the lower half in tight repeating rows. A thin dark teal strip of distant trees or hedge marks the horizon line between field and mountain. The print is unpopulated by figures, rendered in a muted, atmospheric palette, and pencil-annotated below the image with an edition number and the artist's signature.
