A round-faced boy with close-cropped hair, freckled cheeks, and large dark eyes stares straight out at the viewer while a plump bird perches directly atop his head, its beak tilted downward. The print is rendered in blue and rust-orange tones against a mottled, streaky background with visible woodgrain-like texture and rough-edged borders on cream paper; the sheet is pencil-numbered "1/5" at lower left and signed "Jun'ichiro Sekino" at lower right.
