Description
An eighteenth untitled Kaiseki Jokata print. His position in the printmaking world of the Taisho and Showa periods was that of a specialist — an artist who found in the Fuji subject sufficient visual and formal richness to sustain a lifetime's practice, returning again and again to the same mountain from different positions and in different conditions, finding each time something worth recording.
