Description
*Dark Light* (2020) is a mokuhanga print by Kate MacDonagh, printed with watercolour on handmade washi paper. The composition is almost entirely abstract and non-figurative, dominated by deep indigo blue at the top that softens into a muted grey-green band across the middle before darkening again toward the bottom edge. A pale, curved contour arcs across the upper portion of the sheet, separating the darker blue field above from the softer, hazier tone below, giving the print a quiet, nocturnal mood.
