Description
"Kaze-no-iro" — the sound of wind, or more literally "the color of wind" — suggests Nishijima's characteristic synaesthetic approach to atmospheric conditions, treating the wind not as an invisible force but as something with a visual presence: the movement it imparts to branches and fabric, the quality it gives to light, the way it changes the relationship between sky and the built forms below. The architectural subject of this print is rendered in terms of the wind's effect upon it, making the invisible force the primary subject.
