"No Reply" is a 2015 silkscreen portfolio by KAWS comprising a set of related prints that feature variations on the Chum character — KAWS's reworked version of the Michelin Man (Bibendum) — set against fields of solid or simplified color. The Chum figure appears in seated and slumped poses across the portfolio that suggest fatigue or detachment, recurring themes in KAWS's work that pull commercial mascots into registers of melancholy or interiority. The screenprinting reproduces flat color planes with crisp edges, characteristic of KAWS's collaboration with professional print studios on multi-screen editions. The 2015 release sat within a phase of his career marked by deepening engagement with Japanese audiences — his visual vocabulary holding strong resonance with kawaii and otaku-adjacent sensibilities — and No Reply impressions have remained actively traded in the secondary market in Tokyo and Hong Kong.
