Produced the year following Harmonic, this 2025 lithograph continues Hiraike's exploration of mythological resonance and musical order. As the second work in the series, Harmonic II likely develops or counterpoints compositional or thematic elements established in its predecessor — a common practice in sequential print editions, where variations in line weight, tonal density, or figural arrangement shift the viewer's interpretation without abandoning the original premise. Lithography's ability to render subtle value transitions supports the kind of layered, contemplative imagery that mythological subjects often demand. The pairing of the two works implies a [diptych](/glossary/diptych) sensibility, inviting comparison between iterations and tracing the evolution of Hiraike's thinking across the two-year arc of the project. Both prints were produced during her ongoing association with the Tolman Collection, Tokyo.
