Description
ASANOUMI B — The Sea in the Morning B — a second composition depicting the ocean in the early hours, before the sun has fully risen and the water carries the particular cool, quiet quality of the dawn. Kimura's morning sea subjects explore a different visual quality from his summer ocean and evening sun compositions — the morning sea's muted palette, its surface still and reflective, its light gentle and uncommitted. This "B" version explores the same subject from a different compositional approach.
