Description
Evening Sun B — a second compositional approach to the setting sun subject, this version diverging from the first in some aspect of the visual treatment: the relationship of the solar disc to the horizon, the color of the surrounding sky, or the atmospheric effects of the evening light on the landscape below. Kimura's practice of producing multiple versions of the same subject demonstrates his understanding of the subject as an ongoing exploration rather than a resolved image.
