Description
A white cat rendered in Kimura's contemporary woodblock style — the domestic animal depicted with the same graphic attentiveness that he brought to wild birds and fish. Cats had a long tradition in Japanese printmaking, associated with good luck, domestic comfort, and the particular aesthetic pleasure of their form.
