Description
YUUHI B — Evening Sun B — a second compositional approach to the setting sun subject, likely differing from the first version in the treatment of the solar disc, the color of the sky, or the compositional relationship between light source and ground. Kimura's habit of producing lettered series of the same subject demonstrates his interest in the subject as an ongoing exploration rather than a single resolved solution, each version a different answer to the same visual question.
