Description
A grey vase holding a spray of dark ink-brushed chrysanthemum blossoms with yellow-orange centers dominates the upper portion of the composition, painted in loose, expressive brushstrokes against a plain cream ground. Below, an orange-red teapot sits alongside a scatter of white bowls or cups and small dark fruit, rendered in the same loose brush manner with black outlines and washes of orange, grey, and brown. Columns of black calligraphy and two red seal stamps appear at the upper right and lower left; the work is signed "Yeh Lan," dated 2013, and executed in Chinese brush painting.
