Untitled work by Lee Ufan

A rectangular slab of unglazed terracotta in warm orange-brown tones, its surface densely worked with scratched lines, loops, and gouges made in the wet clay. A raised, looped ridge sits near the upper left corner, and two short parallel vertical grooves are pressed into the lower right-center area, amid scattered curving incisions and cross-hatched marks covering the rest of the surface.
