Description

Composition 63-A (1950) is an abstract woodblock print dominated by a large gray textured disc with a fine radiating grain pattern, occupying the upper left of the composition and interrupted by a solid black rounded shape near its base. A tall black vertical bar bisects the disc and extends down the full height of the sheet, accompanied below by a scattering of narrow black and white rectangular strips and one small yellow square set against the unprinted cream paper ground. A red artist's seal appears in the upper right corner, with pencil annotations, including the title and edition number 20/50, in the lower margin.
