Description
A heavily muscled, tattooed figure clings horizontally to a dark wooden beam or ladder, gripping it with both hands and feet while his head twists toward the viewer with a fierce, wide-eyed expression. His skin is covered in dense irezumi-style tattooing—cherry blossoms, foliage, and vertical bands of kanji script—and he wears a short orange-and-yellow patterned kimono or apron with green sash cords crossing his chest. The background is filled with dense pink and white peony blossoms against green foliage, rendered in bold reds, oranges, greens, and blues; the print is signed and sealed in red at the lower right, with the title "Ninau (carry)" by Masato Sudo (woodblock print, date unknown).
