Description
A large tree in dark silhouette dominates the right side of the composition, its gnarled branches spreading against a pale sky layered with soft grey-blue clouds; two birds perch among the uppermost branches. A pale orange-pink band of light glows along the horizon at lower left, above a distant range of hushed blue-green hills. "View from the Top," a 2021 multi-plate reductive linocut relief print by Monique Wales, renders the scene in flat, stacked tones of blue, grey, green, and peach.
