Description
A single black silhouetted figure stands with both arms raised overhead, rendered as a solid dark form with crossing white line details on the torso. Above the figure, a swirling purple-gray mass with curling, ribbon-like contours dominates the upper portion of the composition, transitioning into a cluster of green dots and small triangular marks that scatter downward toward the figure's raised hands. The print is on cream-toned paper with a red seal and pencil annotations near the bottom edge; Naoko Matsubara's 1983 woodcut "Farewell" uses this abstracted, curling form and limited palette of purple, green, and black against the pale ground.
