Description
The sixth composition extends the series' study of a single domestic space, the aquatint articulating a softly modulated tonal field while the soft-ground etched line carries the impressed textures Ogura works into the resin layer. The print maintains the cycle's deliberate flatness of perspective, treating depth as a matter of tonal layering rather than aggressive recession. As in earlier plates, the dining room is allowed to perform without figural staffage, the absence of the body emphasising the title's first-person address — 私の居るところ, the place where I am. The work's quietness situates Ogura within a current of Kyoto-based printmaking attentive to intimate, autobiographical interior subjects, drawing on yōga training while sustaining a sensibility long associated with Japanese pictorial restraint.
